As most of you know, my birthday is in March. As most of you also know, I celebrate my birthday the entire month of March. Well, except for March 17th b/c that is Jeremiah's birthday. Usually, we have to pause my activities to celebrate his birthday and then it is back to me :o)
I want to thank everyone that texted, emailed, or called to wish me happy b-day! I heard several renditions of the b-day song and I loved every bit of it!!!
The day before my birthday, I had my hair done. I had it cut just like I said I would. It feels so much better...thanks Eileen!!! She is to me who Andre is to Oprah, seriously! Jeremiah took the day off to watch Scarlett while I had my hair done. When I got home, we headed out to La Madeleine for lunch, yummy! Then we just hung out for the rest of the evening.
The next morning when I woke up, it was March 11th...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Jeremiah was the first person to tell me happy b-day at 3:3? that morning. Around 9-ish my visiting teachers stopped by. They brought me a BIG cookie, their wonderful smiles and tons of good wishes. Thanks Liberty and Katy!

After they left, Scarlett and I hit the mall! After visiting my favorite stores...after being pampered by the ladies in Dillards...after searching high, low and everywhere in between for the perfect b-day gift for myself...I had an epiphany. "Life is good. I am happy. I have a husband that loves me. Parents that love me. Siblings that love me and in-laws that love me! Why am I in the mall looking for 'happiness'?!" Without thinking twice about it, I looked at Scarlett and told her "let's skip Nordstrom's and go home!" And we did.
Before I got into our neighborhood, I made a quick detour at Braums. I ordered the biggest limeade they offered. It's my favorite! Subconsciously, I guess I was still determined to get myself SOMETHING for my b-day :o) Later on that evening I had to attend open house at Liz's school. As a side note, she's doing well in school and I am quite pleased with her. By the end of the night, Jeremiah made me some rice krispies treats with strawberry marshmallows. They were SO GOOD! Once again, March 11th was a good day :o)
The Saturday after my b-day we went out to Joe's Crab Shack! I love Joe's!!! Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as it usually is. Still, I spent the evening with my sweetheart and that was nice. For Jeremiah's b-day he requested my cornbread so I made it for him. Last Saturday, we went to Macaroni Grill b/c that is where he wanted to go for his b-day. Unfortunately, it also wasn't as good as it usually is. We were going to go to The Cheesecake Factory for dessert but it was snowing and we decided to go home.
Both of us had great b-days this year! I'm sure I'm leaving something out and I'll try to post it if I remember it. Everyone is familiar with the 12 days of Christmas, right? Well, my b-day is something like that. Except I call it the 30 days of Gwen's Birthday! I'd have 31 days if I had it my way. Darn Jeremiah for being born in March!!! I still love you sweetie :o)
So that's what I have been up to. Partying like a rockstar! Sorry I don't have many pictures. My little sister borrowed our camera for a school project during our b-day festivities. Now I'm off to catch up on everyone's blog. Have a great week!!!
