Last Friday was field day at Liz's school. I have to admit that I was slightly irritated in the beginning. The school had a section roped off for the parents clear across the field from the kids. After I thought about it, maybe they roped off the parents for crowd control purposes. After all, there were more people at field day than any other event/party they've had all year.
Also, I apologize in advance for some of the pics being out of focus. Generally, I am pleased with my digital camera. It takes good pictures and it is sufficient for my needs. Unfortunately, it is not equipped to take pics from a distance. Anyway, enjoy field day!

Liz is in the yellow shirt getting ready for the relay.
Scarlett making new friends as usual. She left the lady in the denim jacket to meet the lady in the chair.
There goes Liz running for her life! I wish she would move that fast setting the table for dinner!
Liz's class during the tug-of-war event. They crushed every class and were undefeated, WOO HOO! Needless to say, her class won 1st place in this event. They were closer to the parents for this event so this picture turned out better AND the kids could actually hear us cheer them on :o)
Scarlett eating dirt, grass and rocks.
The guy on the left was hilarious! He was literally yelling at the top of his lungs trying to cheer on his son during tug-of-war. He was extremely animated! Obviously, he was so loud that it caught Scarlett's attention. She was staring at him as if she was saying to herself "is this guy for real?" I wanted to take a video of it but I was laughing too hard. He was so funny. By the time I caught my breath, his son's class lost and this is the only picture that I took of Scarlett's reaction.
If she didn't want to keep up with her stinky things, what made her think that I wanted to?! Being the good mom that I am, I took them anyway so that she could catch up with her class.
Here's Blake. He's a good kid and quite the comedian!
Liz and one of her friends. I like her too.
Liz and Faith.
When we made it home, I found Scarlett in the back seat sleeping hard as a rock!
Here's my extremely happy 4th grader with her ribbons. Everyone received a green ribbon for participation. The blue ribbons are for winning 1st place in tug-of-war and the relay race. Good job Lizardy!!!
Tired as can be! For the rest of the afternoon, Liz kept telling me "this was the best field day EVER!!!" Later that night she crashed on the sofa while watching tv.
