Halloween Party

Last Friday night we had our annual halloween party at church. We ate, laughed, played games, and went trick-or-treating to the different classrooms. Each door was decorated and all of us had a lot of fun. I hate to run but Scarlett is sleeping and I have to get this posted before she wakes up :o)

Liz played a game and won some type of beads. After a while, she kept finding me to unload her pockets from all of her winnings.

Jeremiah and his blue tongue...and Scarlett.

Here we are at Brenda's door. It was SO cute!

J and Liz...with her red teeth. You really can't see the background. But a few months ago she made a poster about herself. Her picture was taken and she had to cut things out of a magazine that she liked or that described her. It was pretty neat. The white poster is hers.

Scarlett fell asleep on the way home...

...but it wasn't long before she was on the move!

She was a little cow for halloween.

She never sat still long enough for me to get a decent picture.

Later that night, she decided to crawl up the step into the kitchen.

Almost...

She did it! I guess it won't be long before she is banging my pots and pans together. Look at her, she is already looking for something to get into!

The Prickett's & The Pumpkin Patch

Last year we missed out on the pumpkin patch because we were busy and time got away from us. With all of the rain we've had lately, I was almost beginning to wonder if we would make it this year. After holding out and stalking the 10-day weather forecast for several weeks, I finally picked the perfect weekend to go to the pumpkin patch! The weather was awesome! The sun was out, we had clear skies, and I think it was 69 or 70 degrees outside. For the most part, we had a great time and there was very little mud. It took a few minutes for Jeremiah and Liz to get into the spirit of things. After a while, I think they started to have a little fun. Anyway, enjoy the pics from our fun family day!

How cute is she?!

The Prickett women.

Liz didn't think this was too cool...as if I cared what she thought! As you can see, I got my picture and mama was happy again. KIDS!!!

Then it was Scarlett's turn!

Obviously, I had to get my turn too!

Jeremiah goofing off, AGAIN!

I forced him into this one too :o)

Taking a rest.

The fam.

The Mr. & the Mrs.

This pumpkin was so cute. The gentlemen that took this picture was wearing a hard cast on his arm. I decided to cut him a little slack for taking the picture off centered.

Checking out the hayride. Maybe we will try the hayride next year. I wanted to go on the hayride but we had the stroller and I didn't want the hassle of trying to figure out what to do with it. Not only that, the line was like 45 mins long.

Me & my baby girl :o)

Discovering pumpkins!

Fascinated by the pumpkins.

More of the Prickett's!

Still having fun!

Have I mentioned how pleasant Scarlett is?!

Bye bye pumpkin patch! See ya next year!!!

Busy Body

Since Jeremiah is at work all day and Liz is at school all day, Scarlett and I are blessed with each other's company...all day...everyday. So, I decided to post some random pictures of Scarlett that were taken over the last couple of weeks.

Look how tall/long Scarlett is getting! Her hair is getting longer too. I adore this little girl so much. It is blowing my mind that she is growing right before my eyes.

I had my camera out and Liz wanted to take a picture of Scarlett and I.

The day after Labor Day, Scarlett and I made a special trip to Jeremiah's job...which was preceded with lunch at the Olive Garden, Thanks J! His co-workers hadn't seen Scarlett yet so I took her for a visit. After we got home, she looked so adorable that I had to get a picture of her.

One day, I decided to play dress up with Ms. Scarlett! Here she is wearing one of my favorite scarfs.

Side profile of the face...work it girl!

You ever get that feeling that someone is staring at you? The other day, I put Scarlett in her crib while I went to the restroom. While I was washing my hands, all of a sudden I felt creepy. When I looked up, I saw her reflection in the mirror and she was staring right at me waiting for me to come out of the restroom! Now that Scarlett is crawling and rolling everywhere. I have to put her in her crib for her safety every time I have to do something.

Here she is being silly again!

I almost forgot about this one! One day, she was in her crib just laughing and playing away. Suddenly, she got quiet. When I went to check on her, she was checking herself out in the mirror on her mobile. She has seen herself numerous times in the mirror so I don't know why she was so surprised. After I thought about it, I think she was trying to figure out why someone else was in her space!

I'm blogging just like mommy!

Last week I decided to go through Scarlett's clothes and pull out her fall/winter things. She decided to snack on a diaper. It was clean, PROMISE!

Then she moved on to the camera case.

Last Wednesday, I took Liz to karate. 5 minutes after I got there, Scarlett decided to vomit EVERYWHERE! When we got home, she crashed so hard and seemed so helpless.

Poor baby. The next morning she seemed fine, thank goodness!

Last Monday morning was a little cool so I had to dress Scarlett in her first fall outfit.

Happy as can be and ready to go!

FINALLY! A nap!!!

Over the weekend, Scarlett managed to almost flip herself out of her highchair!

Jeremiah took this picture one day. We have no idea what she was trying to do but she sure looked funny.

Waiting for me to come get her again. I'm beginning to think that she hates her bumpers...

Happy Birthday Big Daddy!

On Sept 25th, my grandfather (aka Big Daddy) turned 88 years old! We celebrated by having dinner and cake at Texas Roadhouse! It was so much fun. We ate, laughed, joked around and had a ton of fun.

For the record, Big Daddy is the MAN! He still lives in his own house. He still works out. He still drives...except on the highway. He is probably healthier than I am. He can dance...remember when we danced to My Girl at our wedding reception?! It was only the 2-step but he did it! Anyway, I've always told myself that if I live to be his age, I want the independence that he has. Here's to you Big Daddy!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Here's the staff singing happy birthday.

Getting ready to blow out the candles. It took a few tries but he finally blew them out!

Here's the family. I'm glad that I didn't have to clean off that table!

I wanted a nice Prickett picture with Big Daddy and my cousin was making me laugh so hard that I couldn't even smile properly.

Big Daddy and Miss. Scarlett hanging out!
