Pregnant...Again!

I have no idea where to begin! I'll just start typing and see where it goes. Where we trying to get pregnant?

Jeremiah's response: "ABSOLUTELY! If you got pregnant, we can save more than half of what we are paying for health insurance. Not only that, we owe it to the world to produce more educated, responsible, productive members of society. Lord knows there are plenty of people having babies who SHOULDN'T be having babies; and they will eventually outnumber us if we don't do our part. Plus, there are so many sweet spirits in heaven that need a good family to go to. That's us, baby!"

My response: We knew we wanted one more baby but didn't know when we wanted to start trying. We couldn't wait too long because both of us are getting older. We couldn't get pregnant too soon because Savannah is still a baby. Jeremiah wanted to try weeks after we brought Savannah home but I wasn't having any of that! Then, I thought we should try in December after Savannah turned one. I didn't like that idea because I didn't want the baby to have a September birthday and then he or she would have to sit out an entire year before starting kindergarten. Then, I had another thought in June. I thought if I got pregnant in June, the baby would be born in March...I can't have a baby in March. Jeremiah and I have birthdays in March and I'm not sharing March with ANYONE...ANYMORE...PERIOD! Anyway, I had another thought. If I got pregnant in July, baby would come in April. I can live with that. If I got pregnant in August, baby would come in May. I can live with that. I didn't want to have a baby in June, July, or August because school would be out for the summer. Which means that I can't bring cupcakes or balloons to my kids classes for everyone to enjoy. In fact, I barely gave birth to Savannah before the schools break for the Christmas holidays. Y'all know I love a good party and I can't be messing up my kids life...intentionally anyway. I digress.

Having said all of that, I had to conceive in July or Aug. To ensure that the Lord's will would be done, we (Jeremiah mostly) decided not to take any preventative measures. So, it's no surprise that we are pregnant. I have to be honest. I freaked out all day when TWO pregnancy tests came back positive. I think I was concerned about having three little ones so close together. Then again, if the good Lord felt that I could handle it, who am I to challenge Him. So there you have it. This is how the last Baby Prickett came to be. After this baby is born, we will officially be done having children.

We went to the doctor this morning for the first sonogram and the baby is due on April 8th. Now, I just have to pray that the baby is a boy AND the he won't be born on April 1st! For your viewing pleasure, here is the sonogram pic that we took this morning.

The sono tech said that I am only about 5 weeks. If you look REALLY close, you'll be able to see a teeny spot that is Baby Prickett.

For those of you with inquiring minds, Jeremiah has made it very clear that he will NOT be selling the Porsche!
