My Little Scooter

Last Wednesday, I placed Scarlett on her blanket so that she could play by herself for a few minutes. She was just playing away! She looked so cute and I decided to take a few pictures...

Originally, I placed her in the center of her blanket. As you can see, she made her way to the edge.

I'm not sure what this emotion is.

" Hi mommy...ENOUGH WITH THE PICTURES ALREADY!"

I think she is getting worn out.

After a while, I decided to walk away so that she could play herself into a nap. At one point, she made a sound of discomfort...like a grunt out of frustration. I look over at her and she had scooted off her blanket and half of her body was under the sofa! Like any good mother, I went and got the camera instead of helping her!

"A little help here?!"

If it weren't for that diaper, I'm certain that she would have ended up under the sofa.

"I mean it. I'm really stuck!"

"FINE! If I cry, THEN will you help me?!"

I couldn't pass up this picture b/c I knew it would be great for blogging!

I couldn't pass up this shot either! How cute is she?!

Supermodel In My Midst

The other week, Ginny (a lady at church) was trying to get rid of her daughter's clothes. Her daughter's wadrobe is extremely colorful. Anyway, Liz and her cousins are always playing dress up. One thing led to another and I thought that maybe Liz could use some of the clothes to play dress up. The next day, Liz couldn't wait to get home from school so that she could start playing with her new play clothes. The 1st thing that she wanted to do was model her clothes for me. By the way, I was cracking up the entire time and Liz was SO serious!

Work it girl!

Check out those socks!

She left the blue bag in the hall b/c it didn't match her outfit. Now she's worried about cooridinating?! I'm telling you, this kid cracks me up!

Don't you love the "red carpet"? It was a red satin skirt that she also received. Liz wanted a red carpet so she used a red skirt, LOL!

My Little Terror

Last Friday night, I heard Scarlett screaming at the top of her lungs. It didn't sound like she was in pain. It sounded more like she was getting into something and enjoying herself. When I tracked her down, she was playing with her bumper in her crib. I mean she was just having a little party all by herself!

She didn't have a clue I was watching her.

BUSTED!!!

Here's the video of me catching her in the act, the little terror!

For a few weeks now, Scarlett has been getting into everything! She can't crawl yet so she rolls to where she wants to go. She grabs EVERYTHING and will NOT let go. She's grabbed my hair, Liz's hair, her own hair, and Liz's glasses off her face. She'll also grab her shampoo, bath gel, and all of the other things I use when I give her a bath. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that Scarlett is growing and becoming more aware of things in her environment. However, I feel like this is the beginning of the end. She'll be crawling soon and then walking and my baby won't be a baby anymore :o( For now, I'll continue to bask in her cuteness and be grateful that the good Lord has blessed us with such a precious spirit!
