6th Baby Bump & Misc. Ramblings

Well, life is still pretty slow in the Prickett camp. I haven't blogged because I haven't had much to blog about. Everybody is fine and everything is going good.

I had another doctor's appt last Thu, 2/19. As of today, I'm 31 weeks along. As usual, all my "numbers" looked great. The baby's heartbeat dropped to 138 bpm. My doctor said it may be low because she's sleeping or getting bigger. I'm guessing it is because she is getting bigger because this girl never sleeps!

My latest stats are:

Weight: 149lbs

Waist: 36 1/2"

Hightlight of the week
Because the weather has been nice and warm this week, I have been able to put my shoes on AND take them off all by myself! I have worn my flip flops or my ballet flats and it has been great!

Misc. Ramblings
Baby Prickett still moves around alot. The other day, I felt this hard bump on my belly. I couldn't figure out if it was her head, a foot, a hand or her back. Quite naturally, I decided to push on the lump and see what it was. Guess what happened. She pushed back! So I left her alone. I guess if someone where poking at me I would get tired of it too. Like mother like daughter I guess...or however the old adage goes.

I started discoloring and breaking out on the right side of my face about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I told my doctor about it last week and she gave me something to use on my face for 10 days. I don't mind the breaking out part. The discoloration is what bothers me :o( Oh well. My face feels better and the breaking out has stopped. We just figured that it was pregnancy hormones. Thank goodness for modern medicine!

By the way, we go for another sonogram on Mon. Jeremiah is still somewhat convinced that Baby Prickett is a boy. So, we are going to get another sonogram on Monday.

I can tell that I am getting bigger because I have developed love handles. I am also managing my breathing better. I still get out of breath but at least I can manage it, somewhat. I've had to retrain myself to walk slower and move slower and just slow down all together. Yesterday, I had to adjust the drivers seat in my car to accommodate the bigger baby bump. After the baby is born, I'm sure I will crack myself up about how far I had to recline the back of my seat to be comfortable.

Anyway, life is moving right along and I'm still feeling pretty good. Here are my latest pics. Have a great weekend!

Valentine's Day

Last week was pretty slow and there wasn’t much excitement around the Prickett household. Jeremiah took a week off work and it was nice having him around. He cooked a few meals, did dishes a few times, cleaned the windows, dare I say…he even attempted to make the bed!!! Now the harsh reality is sinking in. He’s going back to work tomorrow. It’s been nice sweetheart and I will miss you :o(

Liz has been dying to spend a weekend at my parents house so we finally let her. Timing just never worked out until this weekend. So she was gone Fri & Sat night, SWEET!

For Valentine’s Day, Jeremiah and I decided to stay home and take it easy. That didn’t work out so well and I’m glad it didn’t. Diana, my sister-in-law, brought me flowers early in the afternoon. I was very grateful and told her that she didn’t have to do something so nice for me…but I was glad she did! Her reasoning, “every pregnant woman deserves flowers on Valentine’s Day!” Jeremiah made me a homemade v-day card. He invaded Liz’s arts and crafts supplies and went to work. I loved the card and it is SO us!

The day ended by having a nice dinner at the Outback and it was pretty good. We had the “lover’s special” and I even splurged and ordered a raspberry lemonade!! I learned very quickly that I can’t eat as much as I use to. I was SO stuffed and could barely walk by the time dinner was over.

Baby Prickett did well the entire evening too, until I went to bed. She kept me up ALL night. Kicking, punching, moving, and dancing. I don’t know what she was doing but I got ZERO sleep and ZERO rest Saturday night. I was SOOOOO tired Sunday morning that I didn’t even go to church :o( By the way Nicole, thanks for being so patient and so understanding :o) Shauna, if you taught my girls, here’s a shout out to you too, thank you. Romy, I apologize for letting you fly solo yesterday. Jeremiah, thanks for babysitting me. You are the best!

One more thing about v-day. When Liz came back from my parents house yesterday, she made a v-day card for me too. The best part about it was that she drew a picture of the both of us on it. Get this. She drew me with a baby bump! It was too cute!!

Y’all have a great week!!!

5th Baby Bump

My last doctor’s appt was 1/29. For the most part it went well. My current stats are:

Weight: 143 lbs

Total weight gain: 24lbs

Waist: 36¼”

Baby Prickett’s heartbeat: It dropped to 140bpm from 150bpm. That’s the lowest it has ever been. However, it is still at a healthy rate so I’m not worried.

Timeline: I am 28 weeks and officially in my last trimester…WOO HOO!!!

Biggest gripe these days: Not being able to breathe. By the time I walk from one end of the house to the other, I am completely out of breath. I get short of breath so easily doing everything. Thankfully, Liz is really good about getting things for me that are in the lower cabinets in the kitchen. Squatting is one thing but getting up is another. Jeremiah is pretty good about taking my shoes off if he is around. Otherwise, I am left to fend for myself and sometimes that is not so fun.

In Other News...
One night this week after I had gone to bed for the night, I was laying on my side while embracing my stomach when the most amazing thing happened. I placed my hand on the side of my stomach to verify what I was feeling and I am almost certain it was the baby’s heartbeat. I could feel the baby’s heartbeat! It felt just like the heartbeat that we hear when we go to the doctor. It was so awesome. Just when I think something amazing has happened; my kid does something to top what she just did. I am so in love with my little troll already :o)

One more thing, the baby moves ALL OF THE TIME!!! She never stops. I wonder if this is a sign that she will be super hyper or if I will have an athlete on my hands…hmmm. Anyway, life got busy and I never got around to taking my baby bump pics until 2/1. Then life got even busier and I am just now posting the baby bump pics. Enjoy!

The Karate Kid Advances, YAY!

I apologize in advance for the many pics that you are about to see. One day I hope to print out my blog and I would like these pics to be in place.

The other week Liz tested for her orange belt in karate. The results came in last week and she passed. Woo hoo! The promotion ceremony was earlier tonight. Since I've been a little talkative on the past couple of post (imagine that!!!), I'll go ahead and get straight to the pictures.

All of the yellow belts lined up getting ready to receive their orange belt.

Almost done.

Straightening out the uniform.

She did it!!!

Paying attention to the next group being promoted.

After all of the promotions, Liz had a chance to work with the adults and learn some cool new forms.

Now that Liz has the orange belt, the green belt is the next goal!

Liz's New Hairdo

It never fails. Whenever it is time for Liz to get her hair cut, she absolutely hates it. After her hair is cut, she loves it! Kids!!! To help put her fear at ease, I always have her hair cut a few days after I bring up the topic. That way, she can get use to the idea that her hair is getting cut. Initially, I pretend that she has won the battle. Ultimately, I win the war.

After I saw that Hilary took Cara and Jordyn to get their hair cut, I knew it was time to get down to business and get Liz’s hair cut. I can’t have my child running around town looking like a mad woman! So, in came the scissors and out went the hair!!

HALLELUJAH!!!
I don't know why the picture came out so blurry. We took these before school this morning. The camera was more out of focus than I thought it was.

So fresh and so clean clean!
