The End Is Near

I have officially entered my 3rd trimester, YAY! I had a dr.'s appt. last week and everything is going wonderfully. Of course that doesn't mean anything. I had a perfect pregnancy with Scarlett and she came into the world with more problems than we or the doctors didn't see coming.

Just so most of you know, my mental state is off the charts and my alter ego has taken over. I have no idea why I am about to blog my current feelings so openly. Here's the thing. At 5:30PM this afternoon, I will be on my way to BFE to go camping. The youth are going rock/tower climbing and I am one of the lucky leaders to go. I meant that with as much sarcasm that I could muester up. Granted, I will be back in 24 hours but that's not the point.

What if something happens to Baby Prickett or I? What if I get eaten by a lion, tiger, or bear? Who's going to raise Scarlett? Who's going to keep Liz on the right track? What will happen to my beloved Jeremiah?! Actually, I have an answer for that one. Mr. Man has already informed me that he is going to purchase a mail order bride to replace me. WTF?!?! To add injury to insult, he promised that it wouldn't be for love and that it would strictly be a business decision. I be darned if ANY woman comes into my home and attempt to fill my designer shoes!!! Truth be told, I think Jeremiah was trying to get a rise out of me. It worked.

Seriously, I'm not comfortable going into the middle of nowhere without Jeremiah. He is the ULTIMATE boy scout and I feel so vunerable knowing that he won't be by my side to kill a bug, set up a tent, or shoot the lion, tiger or bear that may attack me! I don't know how to survive in the wilderness. Jeremiah IS my survival kit!

Babe, for what it's worth, thanks for providing a good life for our family. There's food in the fridge and freezer. I bought Scarlett her fall/winter clothes the other week so she should be set for the upcoming seasons. By the time you're done mourning me, it'll be spring and you'll have to take her and Liz shopping for their spring wardrobes. BTW, thanks for my new fall handbag. I've only enjoyed it for 4 days and it has been nice. UPS delivered your ammo about an hour ago. Don't forget, if I fall off a cliff, please be sure to avenge my death by taking out that cliff!!! Shoot it, blow it up, set it on fire. I dont' care! DESTROY IT for destroying me!!!

I guess I better get going so that I can pack. If I should die, please know that I fought for my life with everything I had. Dang it. My new blender and deep fryer will be arriving next week. MAN! I'll never get to use them. Son of a gun!

Y'all take care. To my extended family, please know that I love you. To my friends, it's been a blast knowing each of you. Thank you all for enriching my life. If it's the Lord's will, I'll try to blog next week. If not, please remember the happy Gwendolynette that you knew and loved. Not the pessimistic Gwen that is writing this post. Until we meet again...

You are a drama mama! LOL! I love this post. I'm surprised you couldn't pull the pregnant card for your camp out. If you don't make it back, I call dibs on your deep fryer. I've been wanting one of those;)

Kudos to you for not backing out of the campout. A couple of more times and you may even miss going camping :)

Sorry to read about your knee accident. I hope it's healing without much pain.
